Sorry for the absence the last few days. It's been busy, and time to write hasn't presented itself.
Monday was our day off, and it was WONDERFUL. We hired a masseuse to come to the flat and work us over. The other half of the crew went on a whiskey distillery tour about a 30min out of town. All in all, we were all glad to not have any obligations for the day.
Yesterday and today we have been back at it...we have a lot of street performances in our future. So far we've had pretty good attendance, but we REALLY want to sell some shows out. We're going to hit the streets to drum up some word of mouth.
Everything feels routine now, and I feel comfortable here in Edinburgh. It's a beautiful city, and the people are great. I have to remind myself that I'm here doing this! To date we've performed 15 shows and 8 street and tent sets. Phew!
Here are more photos from walking around town...
This is the view out the window of the flat...looking left.
and looking right
Walking around...this is the part of the city known as old town. Some of these buildings are from the 16th and 17th Century.
The imposing structure atop the rocky crag is Edinburgh Castle. This picture was taken from Grassmarket Square...one of the oldest public squares in the city. They used to trade livestock and conduct public hangings here. It's a beautiful spot, one of my favorites in Edinburgh.
Walking around old town.
Ditto.
